2013 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

http://www.sheepandwool.org/

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!  Seriously, Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, aka MSWF, is like Christmas to me, only better, because I get to choose my own gifts AND spend a whole Saturday with my knitting friends.  This year was great because my broken ankle is well-healed and not troubling me as much as it was last year.  The girls and I planned ahead for our home base camp again, this time with even more new friends joining us throughout the day.  We get to shop, sit and knit and chat together, shope some more, eat yummy fair foods, and generally relax and have a wonderful time.  And of course, I brought home some fun goodies, as always!

From Saturday shopping: Some pretty stitch markers from Cloverhill Yarn shop, a few random knitting buttons, sock patterns from Blue Moon Fiber Arts (Intrepid Traveler and The Mystic Sea), a festival hat, soap from Leslie's Garden (always a fave, I love her Lavendar Mint so hard!), a kit from Fiber Optic that I'm not sure what to do with but couldn't resist, two skeins of Yowza Whatta Skein from Miss Babs - probably for a cardigan for myself, a skein of Ravens striping sock yarn from Wild Hare Fiber Studio (via Cloverhill), a skein of Miss Babs sock yarn in the Boogie Down colorway, and two skeins of Socks That Rock lightweight, in Azure Malachite (left) and Tink's Toots (right).

And from Sunday, when I generally bring my kids back for fun and browsing: a skein of Wullenstudio sock yarn in Cherry Baby, a second skein of the Wild Hare Ravens sock yarn (Dan saw the first one and decided he needed some too), some buckwheat honey, and orange blossom honey from Bee Folks, and an awesome yarn ball & needles ornament from Kelsey Wailes Co (this chick is the main reason my boys, now 14 and 10, adore coming to MSWF with me each year!).  Link goes to KW's Etsy shop, which is amazing.

Now back to knitting, and counting down the days to Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival 2014!
