Lots of catching up to do

Wow, how boring am I, no real entry in almost 2 months! I have been knitting right along, though not taking many pictures, which I'll have to catch up on very soon. Soccer season ended in mid-November, but with the holidays, crazy children, and new boyfriend taking up all my time, blogging is taking a backseat.

The birthday socks I was working on for my Grandma were finished just in time for wrapping and gifting on Nov 16th. I even learned something in the process, that I had been wrapping the yarn slightly wrong when grafting toes, so now I know how to do it right. Grandma was so surprised, and really liked the socks. She asked me how to wash them, and I heard a week or two later that she'd already worn them more than once, so I'll consider this project a great success! More details on my Ravelry project page.

The Odessa hat is finished, I knit 5 Dumpling bags, a pair of felted slippers for myself, two berets that I made up as I went along, a Slytherin scarf and a Gryffindor hat for my kids for Christmas. I finished the first of my Jitterbug February Lace socks, and the first of my Blueberry a la Mode socks, but haven't yet started the second sock for either pair. I have socks for my boyfriend, Jason, in progress, and am almost finished with a baby sweater for my friend Linda. Jason's socks are Redskins colors in KnitPicks yarn, toe-up with short-row heels and toes, stripes in burg and gold, and I'm well into the cuff ribbing on both of them. They're a Christmas gift that I'll have done by New Years Eve. The baby sweater is the MDK baby kimono in a cute, boyish variegated Patons wool. It's totally knitted, just needs seaming and closures. And last night, I started a pair of slippers for my 10yr old, just like my own, which will be felted later.

Weather here in central Maryland is very nice today, but overcast and not great for picture taking. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow so I can get caught up. :)
