Yeah, I'm quite a dork about knitting. Yesterday I made a list of the sweaters I'd like to knit for myself, and a list of the yarns I'd like to have sweaters knitted from. I'm trying to match them up without ending up with 13 blue or brown sweaters, which is how my wardrobe already looks. I've even gone so far as to make a chart (thank heavens for spreadsheets) showing the yarns, their yardages and cost, right down to the cost per yard just for comparison's sake. Still working on the chart showing the sweaters, but as of now there are 10 of them on the list! I think I'll need to be making myself a duct-tape double sometime soon - perhaps Holly and I can "do each other" (ha!) when I go visit her this spring.
What's your favorite worsted-weight sweater yarn, give me some ideas!
This morning I was able to spend a few hours at the local Panera, having breakfast and enjoying the company of 2 great knitting friends, Amanda and Marnie. I've talked both of them into knitting Decimal along with me; Marnie ordered her yarn on Friday, and Amanda is debating on colors now. They are both in the middle of at least one other sweater each, so I think I'll probably just go ahead and start on mine as soon as my yarn comes. I'm well into the crown decreases on the Autumn Rose hat, and am planning to have it finished tonight and block it tomorrow. I wouldn't normally block a hat, but it's double-stranded wool sock yarn in a feather & fan lace pattern, and I really think it will benefit from a warm swish and some shaping.
Nice weather today, but unfortunately my ankle is still bothering me (will this never end!?) so I'm taking it easy - I've got Plum Lucky waiting on my iPod, and a seat on the patio swing awaiting my arrival once I hit the "post" button here. Happy End-of-the-Weekend to all!
