Down for the count

Have you forgotten me? Just realized it's been over a year since I've blogged at all here! I've still been knitting, but 2011 has been a hectic year in our house, so I haven't had a lot of time to document it. The main thing that's brought me back to blogging is a fall. I fell while hiking with my kiddos (who are now 9 and 13, which I still cannot believe!) on Nov 6 and broke my right ankle. No driving, no work, pretty much no doing anything but sitting around HEALING. I had no knitting mojo for the first 3 or so weeks, but around Thanksgiving, it came back! Finished up a pair of socks for Lucas, a hat for Dan, knitted a few mini socks and a mini sweater (you recall my knitted ornament fetish, no?), and now I'm onto the Christmas gifts. Right now I'm working on a knitted hat for my brother, Joe, for Christmas, and when that's done, I'll knit the same one for my Dad, but in a different color. Exciting times here.

Another thing that's kept me from knitting for most of the summer is Scentsy - I joined as a consultant at the end of July and have been having a blast! Seeing as it's getting to be the end of the year now, I'm making some knitting plans for 2012. In 2010 I did a UFO Crawl for the first few months of the year, finishing off all my projects that were just hanging around. I'd intended to do the same in 2011 but somehow just forgot about it! Now I'm going for it again starting 1-1-12. Hopefully my next post here will be plans and details for that!
