Almost on two feet...

Rose Cowl, Stripey Hat, Beginnings of Baby Hat

Hello, blogland! Since my last update, I have:

~Received three skeins of the yarn I'm using for my Shalom cardi, all the way from an awesome Raveler in Hawaii! This should be more than enough to make the cardi as long as I want it without worrying about running low on yarn again!

~ Gotten word from my orthopedist that my broken fibula is HEALED!! I am now walking on the boot/aircast without crutches all the time!

~ Started physical therapy to learn to bend my ankle again. OMG I had no idea how stiff the joint and muscles would be! Been going three times a week for two weeks now, and definitely see improvement. In fact...

~ I can walk on both feet now! It's slow-going, not much ankle-bending going on, and I can't yet bear all my weight on the right leg, but I'm thrilled!

~ Finished the Rose Cowl, a moebius-ish, seed stitched monstrosity that is warm and comfy and WARM. I love it much, but this winter has thus far been too mild for regular Rose Cowl wearing.

~ Haven't touched the Shalom or the Log Cabin since my last update, or at least not enough to show any progress on them.

~ Finished a stripey hat for my 9yr old son.

~ Started a stripey hat for the preemie daughter of a friend.

Back to knitting!
