I've got to say one thing for being stuck on the couch for two months - it's giving me a lot of knitting time! My Shalom cardi is chugging right along, and now I'm actually worried I may run out of yarn! I started with six skeins, but I don't know how many I've used already - there's one untouched in the project bag, but I'm not sure if that's all I've got. I'll put the sweater on my scale tomorrow, hopefully that'll give me a better ideas, but I've also messaged some Ravelers who have this color (now discontinued, of course!) in their stashes. Fingers crossed that something will work out - cropped bulky weight cardigan is NOT a good look for me!Have done a little bit of work on the Log Cabin blanket, but it's not getting as much attention as Shalom has, and that's probably because Shalom's completion is in sight, and I can't wait to wear my new cardi! The blanket will likely take me the whole of 2012 to finish, since let's face it, I can't knit garter stitch for very long before I start gnashing my teeth in boredom. It does make for great TV and movie knitting though, and that's what is going to get me through the knitting of it and to the other side, to watching TV snuggled up under it!
I'm looking forward to Thursday afternoon, which is my next appointment with the orthopedist. Friday will be 2 months since I broke my ankle, 8 1/2 very long tedious weeks, and I'm hoping and praying for more good news. I'm trying hard to get on my feet (haha) with walking in this boot/aircast, but it's such a foreign feeling, and the muscles in my leg are very weak anyway that it's frustrating and annoying.
That's all for now, off to bed for me. Happy Knitting!
