Week 5, and my knitting bags

Current sock WIPs, lounging on the patio swing.

I'm sort of running slow on socks now. I have two finished pairs, one finished sock, a pair of STR Monkeys that needs the rest of the heel turn and the cuffs knit, a barely-there chevron cuff, a half-done single brown sock, and the beginning of a purple Spring Forward sock. Out of all the time I've spent knitting these different socks, I surely could have finished at least 2 more pairs by now. But that's me - I'm so not a monogamous knitter! In fact, at the shop yesterday we were discussing a KAL for a sweater, and once the February Lady pattern was brought up, I was sucked in. It's been in my queue for a while, and I just love how it looks. I'll make mine with regular-length sleeves, though. I've been pretty good about sticking with sock knitting since SOS began, but I'm not sure how much longer I can really keep that up.

Current works in progress:

STR toe-up Monkey socks, 2 at a time. I l.o.v.e how these are turning out, but really dislike knitting both at once on Magic Loop. Since this heel style is new to me, I figured it would be best to do both at one time for matching, otherwise I'd switch back to my beloved dpns.

Pink chevron socks on dpns - I really like how the pattern brings out the colors in this yarn, but I am really tired of the yarn itself, seeing as this is it's third incarnation, so these are sort of hibernating now.

Spring Forward in Jitterbug - Love the yarn, love the pattern, love it love it. But have not let myself work on it since I started on Tuesday, in the hopes that I could finish the Monkeys by the end of the week. The Jitterbug color is Velvet Bilberry and it's just stunning. I really need to get my hands on some Velvet Olive and Velvet Damson also. Jitterbug is one of my very favorite sock yarns these days, and this is the third pair of socks I've used it for.

Plain vanilla sock in KP Essential - this one is moving along, as it is the only completely mindless project I have right now. It's been the on-the-go knitting for the last week, and though I think I need to knit this yarn (in the future) on smaller needles and with a few more stitches, they will fit me nicely, and the yarn is super soft.

A few new knitting bags have "followed me home" recently - a Namaste Laguna in Peacock arrived a few weeks ago from Dreamweaver yarns, and a Namaste Jetsetter in Raspberry appeared in my LYS at my request. Oops. They are both lovely, and for now are nicely taking turns being my favorite of the day.
