As for socks, I finished my first SOS pair last Friday, frogged one sock that wasn't turning out the right size, and started 2 new socks. I have to stop doing that! None of these will ever get finished if I'm knitting sixteen socks at one time.Wednesday, July 9, 2008
Remind me
Next time I propose doing a dishcloth KAL group swap, please remind me of how much I hate hate hate coordinating it all! And in the "heat" of the Summer of Socks this time, no less, I'm spending hours compiling everything and not knitting socks. I feel like a brat for complaining about it, because it was my idea, but I always seem to forget how much work it ends up being. Blah.

The new KnitPicks sock yarns arrived in the mail this week. I didn't read the fiber content very well on their website - I didn't realize that there was some alpaca in the Imagination. It's so soft, and the colors are incredible. The Harmony DPNs came too, and I'm so bummed by them - absolutely hate them - MUST exchange for nickel DPNs. And get more in my fave sizes, but then I'd cast on more socks and never finish anything. This is Essential Kettle-Dyed in Eggplant, and Imagination in Lost Boys and Frog Prince.

I like the names of the last two sock yarns - "Lost Boys" and "Frog Prince". Is Imagination a Knit Picks sock yarn? If so, why have I never noticed it?! I'm clearly not spending enough time drooling over yarn online. I'm off to the Knit Picks website to rectify that.
Imagination is very new!! I just got two skeins of "Wicked Witch" in the mail...along with two balls of Essential, three balls of Shine Sport and Shadow in that new, yummy Spring Green Heather color.
Hey, i think the first pair of Deb's socks i ever knit was in that same yarn, maybe? Is it Sockotta??
