Mr Greenjeans- Began for the Knitting Olympics back in February. Am losing weight now, so am hesitant to continue on with whatever size I have started. Since it's top-down construction, it shouldn't be too tough to adjust it to hopefully fit well for this fall.
Baby Duck Feet- Started for friend-of-a-friend's baby, who is now 3mos old and likely won't fit into them. There's always more babies coming along though, so they'll probably go into the gift box. First sock is done but for the I-cording, second sock is mid-foot, I believe.
Vanilla toe-ups- Dull and boring, the only thing that kept my interest in these socks was the patterning of the self-patterning yarn. Will finish them, if only to regain my needles!PS - You know I've lost interest in them when I don't even have progress pics!!
Socks of Awesomeness- First thing I cast on from my Maryland Sheep & Wool Fest haul this year. It's at that point where it's miles of boring stockinette, and was pre-empted by my June and then July SolidSocks. This is both socks, knit toe-to-toe, will be cut at the mid-point and stitches picked up for toes, then afterthought heels put in. Just an idea I had for using up all the yarn, can't wait to see how it will (eventually) turn out. I'm planning to knit this yarn till its gone, and use a coordinating color for the heels and toes.
Pillars socks- My July SolidSocks project, started on 7/3. Had to rip back and then lost my mojo for them while on vacation. Knit 4 dishcloths instead of working on these. They're toe-up and are both just past the heel turn, in sport weight yarn, so I'm at the point where I just knit till I run outta yarn.
Shalom Cardi- Started in late April, then shoved aside when the weather got too hot for working with bulky wool! Another UFO that might turn out too big for my shrinking bod, but I can always felt it slightly to fit, or pass along to a friend.
Brick Cable Beret- A DYO challenge, I've designed a pattern for a cabled hat, and now I'm testing it out. Started about 2 weeks ago. Since I'd like to eventually submit this one to Knitty, there won't be any pics of it beyond the yarn shot here.In theory, I'd like to not start any new projects until Sept 1st, but that seems unlikely. I do need to get rolling on the little cardi-shrug that I knit for my friend's daughter each August for her birthday. If interested, you can see them here - 2008, and 2009. But other than that, I should have a bit of willpower! Definitely NO MORE SOCKS on the needles til September!
