Tonight was the first time I've ever watched the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics! I didn't get to see it all, and sadly missed the torch-lighting, but I enjoyed it so much, and will make sure I see the Closing Ceremony. I've joined the Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics, and am planning to knit myself a sweater - my first sweater for myself! I picked what should be *knock on wood* an easy pattern - Mr. Greenjeans from Knitty's Fall 2007 issue, which has been in my queue ever since Ravelry was first opened! I've got 2 bags of KnitPicks Swish in a gorgeous chocolate brown color, and my needles are itching to get started here! I wasn't able to cast on tonight during the Opening Ceremony, but will be getting started tomorrow as soon as I get home from work.Happy Olympic Knitting to all!
P.S. - Check out my projects over there on the sidebar - just ONE UFO left to go, that's Dillon's sweater.
Everything else is done done done!! More on that later, I have yet to get decent pictures of anything.
