Knitting busily here, but no where near finishing my Olympics sweater. I started a sock for Dillon (11yr old) on Sunday - from the toe up, and with a ribbed instep and leg/cuff, which is going quickly. I've learned that I had no clue how large this kid's feet truly are! No wonder none of the other socks I've made have fit him!! I've turned first heel and am about 2" up the cuff. The yarn I'm using is a Regia 6ply that I bought recently just for Dillon's socks, and the more I knit it up, the more it looks perfectly St Patty's Day-ish! That's my size large sock blocker in the pic, so I know these will fit him for a while!

Since starting the socks, I've set Mr Greenjeans aside for the week - socks are always my on the go knitting choice, and I'd been getting a bit itchy after not having any socks on my needles for a solid 2 weeks! Mr G will get his turn this weekend though, I'd like to get it finished through to the armhole split in the next few days, which is do-able if I abandon the sock for 2 days. I'm loving how nicely the KnitPicks Swish yarn is knitting up, and the color is so perfectly "me" - a deep chocolate color that's very aptly named Truffle.

That's a horribl picture, and so is this one, but it's the best I can do for now.

I love the socks! I saw you on ravelry and saw the pic of the sock as your profile pic. I had to know more and then I saw your blog. I'm adding you on to my list of blogs to follow.
I love the color of the socks!
