Back on New Years Eve, I made some "knitting resolutions", if you will, for 2008. I was just going through some of my old posts, and came across that list. I'm so excited to see that I've either met or am in the middle of almost all of the things on that list!
Here's my resolution progress:
- Knit things other than dishcloths. Yeah, they're fast and cheap and small and portable, but my wool stash is missing me. Check! Looking through my projects page on Ravelry, here are my ten most recent finished projects - socks, Easter Eggs, blanket, felted bag, dishcloth, mini-backpack, tribble, dishcloth, dishcloth, felted bag.
- Make a bag with stripes, probably felted. Check! I knitted two striped, felted bags so far this year.
- Finish Dillon's hooded sweater. Started it in July, as of right now it just needs sleeves and blocking. Get it done before the poor kid outgrows it already! Not yet. I will, though.
- Knit something for myself - a sweater/cardigan, probably in a chocolatey brown color. Working on it - I now have yarn for at least three sweaters for myself, and will probably start with a Mr Greenjeans.
- SOCKS. Just do it already. CHECK!!! I'm up to four pairs now.
- Don't stop knitting dishcloths altogether. Check - see first list item, still knitting them, and have one in progress right now.
- Get Dillon knitting. With needles. Start with finger-knitting, he'll like it. Get rid of those damned knitting looms! Still working on it. I did get rid of all but one of the looms though. And Lucas is knitting!
- Knit myself a shawl. Nothing fancy or lacy, but I'm itching to make myself a triangular shawl. Maybe DK weight w/size 10s or so - wish I could figure out how to make a F&F in that non-squared shape. Not yet. I did get some lace-weight from KnitPicks recently though, and would love to knit myself a Clapotis or six. I also have some yarn on the way to knit something shawl-like for my Grandma for her birthday in November.
