If SOS is over, it must be time for...

Birthday crafting! My older son, Dillon, will be ten on Sept 18th, and my younger son, Lucas, will be six on Oct 24th. Both are getting a pair of knitted socks, and Dillon's also getting his finally-going-to-be-finished Hoodie sweater. I'd like to knit at least one Celestine for Lucas, from some stripy sock yarn, and I also came across a pattern for a cute knitted monster, Abigail that I think he'll like. I don't know if I'll sew them anything like I usually do, but they both need new hoodies, so that might be what I make. I made a bag for Dillon's GameBoy stuff last year, and might try to make one for Lucas this year.

Besides my kids' birthdays, my friend's 29th is Oct 17, and I want to knit her some pink socks. She really liked my Marigold socks when she was in town earlier this year, and I'm planning to knit her a pair with pink striped Felici. My Grandma's birthday is 11/15, and I have yarn for Red hat Lady-ish socks to knit for her also.

As for the winter holidays, I'm up in the air about it. I'd love to knit for everyone, but time is an issue, of course. It would be great to knit from stash too, but we'll see. At least I wouldn't have to go shopping though.

Baby gifts are on my list also - my long-time online friends Linda and Miranda are both having babies early in the new year, and both are having their fourth boy! It might be about time for me to give the BSJ a try, although I've been perusing lots of baby patterns on ravelry since hearing the baby boy news from each of them.
