WW Knit in Public Day

Was lots of fun! My sister came over, then went out to pick up sushi, and Amanda arrived just in time to enjoy it. We ate and talked, they both knit a little while I totally frogged a to-be-felted bag that I'd knit last summer/fall that got screwed up. It's nice to reclaim yarn, but it just made me want to cast on right away for a new bag, so I had to hold myself back. I did get the second Marigold sock started the other day after posting about how I was avoiding it, and it's going nicely - after a bumpy start where I messed it up entirely, that is. I'm going to turn the heel today though, and will have it done by the end of the week, if not sooner. SOS starts on Saturday, and I don't want to still be working on these by then. :)

Last week on a whim, I cast on for a button-top hand towel that's going to end up in my bathroom, from S&C stripes yarn. It's just a basic feather and fan pattern, but in the Country Stripes it's turning out so nicely, I'm really happy with it. It's bound off and in the wash right now, but I took this pic a few rows before it was done.

Fluffy mail from this weekend included 2 skeins of KP Memories in FlyFishing, which I'm thrilled to have found from a destasher on Ravelry, and another sock project bag from ZigZagStitches on Etsy.
