I started this one in earlyish December, got it done through row 18, and then abandoned it for over a month. Finished it this week, although I ran out of yarn and had to backtrack in the seed border, so the top border is shorter than it should be. But it's all good - and it's done!

This is the Noro Wavy Gravy hat that I knit the other day. It turned out nicely, except for the fact that it will not fit any human head over the age of 2. But the top of it is pretty, no? The pattern writer and I must have some secret disagreement in our gauge, because despite my knitting perfectly to her gauge, it's way smaller than it should be. Oh well, I'll just start on another one. This one is on it's way to my sister, to be given to her BF's neice Riley, who just turned 2.

This is the same hat pattern as above - this time I added another repeat to it (CO 84 instead of 72) and am using Patons SWS in Natural Plum. Oh, and I'm using sz9 needles rather than 8s. The SWS is so much softer than Noro, but it's a little more splitty so it's knitting up slower because I'm actually having to watch what I'm doing much more than usual.

Lucas's Toasty Topper that I started on Monday morning - and ran out of yarn on Monday evening. I haven't been back to the yarn shop to get more just yet, as it's a little big on him, and I'm considering ripping it back and making the ribbing shorter before restarting the scarf pieces. That might conserve a bit more yarn also, but I'm choking a bit on the whole ripping back part.
Ok, I'm off to knit now. The boys are out with my parents for a few hours, and I have the whole house to myself. I want to get the SWS hat done, and then get back to work on the helmetliner that I started a month ago.
