Dillon's Trekking socks are finally finished - they're on his feet as I type this...and as he and his brother wrestle in the living room, but we'll ignore that as they haven't broken anything or hurt each other yet.Trekking XXL yarn, Basic Sock Recipe from SPM, sized for a 9yr old boy. The ribbing should be tighter, and I should have knit them on smaller needles, but I had only about 35 grams of yarn and wanted to see how far it would go. Live and learn - always plan on needing at least 50g for a pair of Dillon's socks. Now Lucas is asking when he'll get another pair.
The Jitterbug socks that I finished a couple weeks ago, Colinette Jitterbug in Moss, same pattern as above, made for myself. LOVING these, but need taller ribbing next time. VEry warm and cozy, I've been wearing them to bed the last few nights, as it's been pretty chilly here.
And half of an FO - Blue Swirl socks that I'm making for my Mom. My first socks made on DPNs rather than Magic Loop, and it turned out so nicely.I've got a great Sock Groove going on here, and am loving it. I'm going to attempt not to start any more socks until the second Blue Swirl is done. I did cast on the second one right after I finished the first, so I have high hopes, plus the socks-on-DPNs are a nice new thing for me, to keep myself interested.
WIPs on Wednesday coming up next...
