Swaps and stashing and planning and more

Swaps - I'm up to my eyeballs in organizing a dishcloth swap on the KAL group that I "run" on Ravelry. I've got all my info into my spreadsheet, and just need to send matches to each participant. I'll be thrilled when that's done, but right now I needed a break, as my eyes were blurring from the small type.

Stashing - I ordered a few more skeins of STR last week after going nuts over it at Sheep & Wool, and they arrived on Friday.

That's Blue Brick Wall, Algae, and Brick, all in mediumweight. I'm loving the BBW and Brick, but the Algae just isn't doing it for me. I don't know how I missed the gray parts on their website, oops.

Also placed a KnitPicks order last week, after receiving my uncle's wedding invitation in the mail. I picked blues and neutrals in a few yarn lines and am planning some sort of feather and fan or ripple throw for them. The wedding is on June 14th, and the yarns arrived today. Trish is working on something that inspired me to make this project, and this wedding has presented me with the perfect opportunity.

The exchanged KP Shine came today as well - I sent back Sailor and exchanged it for Green Apple. I'm going to make either the T-Twist Top or the Summer Chevron for myself with it.

That's all for today's Stashing category, as we're not going to discuss the four big skeins of Sugar N Cream's new color line that just happened to follow me home the other day.

Planning - I really need to get moving on what I'm going to be calling The Wedding Blanket, but also want to get these socks done. Both my Jitterbug socks, and Dillon's Trekking socks are just sitting here waiting for me to have a few quiet moments to graft all the toes. And, I did get started on my Mr Greenjeans last week, and am into my 3rd ball of yarn (KP MainLine). The Butter Pecan color is so "me", and it's so soft and nice to work with.

This yarn is just screaming out to me (from under the bed, no less) to be knit up into my first Clapotis. It's Tess' Designer Baby and Sock yarn that I picked up at MSWF last weekend. It's a gorgeous purple-royal blue-aqua colorway that I *think* is called Florida Keys, and there are two of them waiting not-so-patiently to be cast on. It's so summery and tropical-looking to me, despite the fact that it's wool, but I love the idea of a Clappy from sock/fingering yarn.

Somewhere between all the knitting, I have to pry myself away to the sewing tables so I can whip out a few pairs of shorts for my cousin's son, which I'm really not looking forward to. Adam is very hard to fit - he has the inseam of a 4yr old (which he IS), and the waist of an 8 yr old. This would be why my cousin has me make pants and shorts for him. Poor kiddo.

Ok, back to the dishcloth swap info!
