Finished projects

An online mama-friend asked me to knit some dishcloths for her DD, who is just learning to cook. My only guideline was natural/earthy type colors. She chose one that I'd already made (top left in the pic), and I knit the other three last week; they went out in the mail to her yesterday.

Ballband dishcloth in brown and soft teal.

Mitered Dishcloth in S&C natural Stripes.

This one is actually my least fave of the group - a DW dishcloth in S&C Twists (Country twists color).

While I've been *thinking* a lot about clearing up my UFOs (by whatever means necessary), I can't seem to bring myself to do it. I have a dishcloth that has about 5 rows left to go, but it's seed stitch, which drives me batty, so it sits. And I've surely created more UFOs since my rundown entry a few weeks ago. And I feel somewhat guilty for not knitting all the dishcloths along w/my KAL group on Ravelry.

I cast on a sock, (again - this is at least my 4th attempt) at KN on Tuesday knit group - my handdyed (did I show this yet?), and I think it's too loose. It's Universal Pace sock yarn that I dyed w/KA, and I'm knitting Magic Loop on KP sz 2s (the smaller size 2). I'm about 1" into the ribbing (topdown), and tried it on last night, and it was a verrrry tight squeeze to go over my heel, so I'll need to actually start over, I'm thinking. It's fun though, I can definitely see myself loving handknit socks.

Also on the Finished list is a Tribble that I made oversized to use as a bathpoof - but why is that whenever I do a project that's supposed to be "a great stash buster", it doesn't actually bust any stash? I used a leftover ball that was much more than the pattern called for (granted, I did make this oversized, but still!), and still ran out - luckily I was able to grab a few yards from another ball of the same yarn in stash, but.....sigh.

Oh, and this is the sock yarn I mentioned above. Pretty, but it feels rough to me.

I really like the colors of the hand dyed. I'm curious to know how it looks when knit up. Does it stripe?
