I knit for all of about 10 minutes yesterday, and today I need to make up for it. Gotta get that helmet liner done so I can start on some for the boys - it was
19* wind chill yesterday, and today's not any better. And this morning I got word that one of my best friends from high school is coming up from Florida next weekend for a quick visit. I'd reeeeally like to knit her something before she gets here - either a neat scarf or a Calorimetry or something - something
fast of course! I haven't seen her in at least 3 years, and she hasn't lived in Maryland in about 10 years. We've drifted apart quite a bit, with me being the single mom, and her being the single working girl, but we keep in touch online, and see each other when she comes to town occasionally. But I'm so unsure about what to make for her. What I had in mind just doesn't seem to fit with the Autumn of now, it's more the 17 year old Autumn, you know?
Sigh. We shall see.
And since I have nothing truly new to show, here are pics of a bag I knitted over the summer and apparently never took pictures of. It's an Everlasting Bagstopper from Knitty, sized down a bit to "kid-size". Lucas (5) keeps his Leapster gear in it. It's pretty darned cute, and the cotton striping yarn is neat.

I like the blue bag better than the pink one. I'm not too much into pink. ;)
